This exhibition was devoted to Yves Saint Laurent’s ongoing dialogue with his era, which he closely observed and for which he developed new ways of dressing. It offered an original look at the designer’s unique aesthetic. A hundred haute couture and ready-to-wear designs in addition to numerous archival (and mostly never-before-seen) documents presented a new take on the origins of Saint Laurent’s revolution in style.
