In conjunction with The Flowers of Yves Saint Laurent exhibition, the museum invites you to welcome in the spring by discovering the Japanese art of ikebana―the art of flower arrangement―in the context of the couturier’s universe

Passionate about Japan, a country he visited several times, Yves Saint Laurent found inspiration in the simple and elegant beauty of flowers. For the couturier, every petal, every stem, was a symbol of refinement.

On Thursday, March 20, at 6:00 pm, the museum will have the honor of welcoming Rica Arai, a master in the art of ikebana, who will provide a demonstration of this ancestral floral art. You will discover how the harmony of shapes and natural elements is found both in ikebana and in the creations of Yves Saint Laurent.

Enjoy this special opportunity to admire the poetry of floral arrangements and to better understand this exquisite art imbued with serenity and refinement.

The demonstration will be conducted in French.
Length: 2 hours
