Just five years after buying the Groupe Yves Saint Laurent, Sanofi sold it to Gucci, a subsidiary of the Groupe Pinault-Printemps-Redoute (now Kering). Pierre Bergé and Yves Saint Laurent continued to manage the haute couture division, while cosmetics and ready-to-wear were headed by Domenico de Sole and Tom Ford.
