Des journées entières dans les arbres (Whole Days in the Trees) by Marguerite Duras

Yves Saint Laurent continued to collaborate with the Compagnie Renaud-Barrault, designing the costumes for Marguerite Duras’s play Des journées entières dans les arbres (Whole Days in the Trees) in 1965. A mother, played by Madeleine Renaud, visits her son in Paris, where he leads a dissolute life. She sees in him the child who used to spend his days in the trees trying to get away from her. Duras was describing her own mother in this play.
